NGC 3029 (09h 48.9m -08° 03') Discovered by Swift (III) on 8 Feb 1886. RNGC and RC3 identify this object as M-01-25-047 (not MCG, though). Swift's position is 1.5 tmin E and 6.5' N (23' ENE) of M-01-25-047, so this identification seems very questionable. NGC 3050 (09h 43.1m -10° 23') Discovered by Muller (II). His rough RA (nearest tmin) is actually over 9 tmin E of N2979! Listed as identical in ESGC (based on discovery sketch?). |
