Ophiuchus

(All Positions are J2000)

N6059 16 07.4 -06 25
Discovered by Swift (III). Bigourdan made a small correction in Swift's RA
mentioned in the IC 1 notes (16 07 24 -06 24.7).

There are two mag 15 GSC stars at 40" separation 2' due N of the corrected
RA. The preceding star is a 10" double. There is also an extremely faint
elongated gx at 16 07 16 -06 25.4, just S of a mag 13.8 GSC star (could
this gx have been seen by Bigourdan?). Listed as a dubious NGC object by
Hagen in Zone Catalogue.
